Info about Chinese Astrology

Chinese Astrology is based on zodiac symbols in a 12 year cycle that is designed around and based on 12 animals. Each of the animals have different characteristics. At one time animals were a very important factor of human life. The stories are plenty on how the animals came to be in Chinese Astrology. One story has Buddha inviting all the animals in the kingdom to a meeting. In another, it's the Jade Emperor holding a great banquet. Some animals outwit others to get there first, with their places in the zodiac assigned according to when they arrived. A third legend is more like "The Amazing Race," with plotting and scratching and clawing in a competition that includes a river crossing followed by a gathering at the emperor's palace. The order in which each animal arrived was then laid down into the progression of the Chinese Astrological Years. For example, the kind ox agrees to carry the scheming rat and the cat across the water on his back, but the rat betrays his friend the cat by pushing him into a swift current and hops off the ox to claim the top spot. The cat and the rat were once best friends but wound up mortal enemies after the cat fails to make the top 12. Also the Chinese Zodiac is said to follow the stations of Jupiter's orbit around the sun, which is just shy of 12 years. Using the orbit of Jupiter around the sun, Chinese astronomers divided the celestial circle into 12 sections and rounded it to 12 years. The animals they prescribed for each month are as follows: the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. (Some believe the animal influences events through the year). People can draw inspiration from whatever animal they are. It's a way to remind yourself of your nature and the characteristics that come from that. A person born in the Year of the Ox, for example, may be considered hardworking and dependable, while Rats may be shrewd, Pigs simple and Dragons noble and self-assured.

The Chinese believed that the animal plays the most important role in one’s luck, success and problems and was originated from Chinese astronomers. They used to call the five major planets using the names of elements. They are classified as Venus - Metal (White Tiger), Jupiter - Wood (Azure Dragon), Mercury - Water (Black Tortoise), Mars - Fire (Vermilion Bird), Saturn - Earth (Yellow Dragon).

The Chinese believed that a person’s destiny was to be determined by the location of the major planets at the person’s birth along with the positions of the Sun, Moon, comets and the person’s time of birth and Zodiac Sign. One could check the compatibility of their love by using these signs. They can see which people will make good lovers, friends, and partners. Every person will have their own element, animal according to their birth. Each animal and element will have their own characteristics. Through this, one can check their compatibility with others by comparing their element and animal characteristics with the other.

Chinese astrology is still practiced in many places. Take a marriage for example, in order to figure out a settlement of marriage, they would check the compatibility of the boy to the girl. With Chinese astrology, you can come to know various interesting factors in life. Once you go through a Chinese astrology reading, you can find your perfect match, friend or partner. You can also see whether your selected partner can be a perfect match for you romantically.

There are many methods practiced in order to check the compatibility of animals according to their birth time. Chinese astrology can help attain info regarding the way or manner in which you can have success and the partner with whom you can lead a happy life.
