The history of psychics and the different types of psychic abilities are almost as old as the human history. Throughout history, psychics have sometimes been revered for their psychic powers and other times been accused for witchcraft and evil powers.

In recent times, psychics are not used by the corporate world or by the masses, but a lot of individuals still uses psychics for guidance in different life situations or to get an idea of what the future might look like.

Below are the five most common psychic abilities, even though there are a lot of different types of abilities.

Clairvoyance, a psychic with clairvoyance can connect with people and use the minds eye to tune in and see people, objects, places, situations and scenes far away. Psychics with clairvoyance have been used in several cases to solve complex murder cases and crimes.

Psychometry is also a psychic ability that has been popular in media, movies and television lately. This ability allows the psychic to see what happened at a certain place, time or event by touching objects associated with that place or person. The objects can be small such as a persons jewelry, key, mobile phone or big items such as a car or a house.

Psychokinesis, a psychic with psychokinetic abilities can influence objects and items with their mind power.

Telepathy is a similar power of the mind and allows people with the ability to read the thoughts of other people.

Auric sight is another psychic ability and it allows people to have the ability to see the aura, or energy that surrounds others. Everyones aura is unique in shape and color and gives insight into the persons personality, moods, emotions, and health.
