Possible bee sting antidote

***Keep in mind that not all pennies are copper…on the inside. But the outside is copper, so it should still work, that is assuming that it works at all. Since this was passed on to me, and it could possibly work-I figured I'd pass it on just in case. So if you should try this, please leave a comment and let us know-one way or another-if it helped or did absolutely nadda (nothing).***

It just might be wise to carry a penny in your pocket while working in the yard.......... BEE STINGS !

A couple of weeks ago, I was told a story of someone being stung by both a bee and hornet while working in the garden. Their arm swelled up, so they went to the doctor. The clinic gave them a cream to use and an antihistamine. The next day, the swelling was progressively worse. So off to the regular doctor who stated the arm was infected and needed an antibiotic. The doctor stated, "The next time you get stung, put a penny on it for 15 minutes." The dr said that the copper in the penny will counteract the sting/bite. Just be sure the stinger is out.

Not long after that, a friend was out cutting her lawn when she was stung. I told her about the penny trick and she taped a penny to her skin and sulked for a while. The next morning she could only barely see the spot where the hornet had stung her. No redness, no swelling...could barely even tell where she had been stung. (She is also not allergic to stings).

Once again, I'm not sure if this is genuine and will work, but I figure if it does, then wow-how great is that?
