Astrology and gemstones.....what's your bling?

Choosing the right gemstone has a lot to do with your birthday. According to the Astrological Table of Gemstones, each sign of the zodiac has its own special gem.

Aries: Aries is a fire sign that shines brightly with an inner fire. It is headstrong and always at the cutting edge, so what more fitting gem for this sign than the brilliant diamond? As Aries also rules the head, diamond earrings or studs are especially appropriate.

Taurus: This sign loves the lush bounty of nature, so the correct gemstone is the lush green emerald. Ruled by Venus, Taurus loves a beautiful setting. Remember that when you gift a Taurean an emerald necklace, for Taurus also rules the throat.

Gemini: Bright, lively Gemini needs a sparkling gem, and both the shimmering agate and the sparkling crystal are appropriate. Have them set in rings, cuff links or bracelets as Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which rules the hands.

Cancer: This sign is ruled by the Moon, so the pearl and the moonstone are the correct gems for this sign. They are best presented as a beautiful brooch or tie pin, or you could try a belt or gems set in a silk girdle, as Cancer rules both the breasts and the stomach.

Leo: This warm hearted fire sign responds to the ruby, with its fiery glow. Leo rules the heart, so a pendant, brooch or tie pin will be the perfect setting for a ruby gift.

Virgo: This sign loves the fruits of the earth and the glow of nature - its natural element is summer, so the lush golden glow of the sardonyx makes a fine gemstone for Virgo. Like Gemini, Virgo is ruled by Mercury, which makes rings, cuff links and bracelets the ideal setting for Virgo’s gem.

Do you believe in dreams? If not, why?

I have touched on this subject a few times in the past. Do people dream? Do they remember dreaming? Why do some people think that they don’t dream? Why do some believe that dreams are just fluff? Can we really learn from our dreams?

Actually, dreams are really important. It can tell you how to deal with and all about a problem you will face and how to overcome that problem. But only if you listen and pay attention. These are the ways in which your own higher guidance or ‘spirit’ communicates with you through the dream realm. Some people believe that you are communicating with God, himself, through the messages of dreams or His angels, which are also considered your angels. God also has many names, Buddha, Allah, etc. No matter who you believe in and what you call Him, remember we are all in his hands and he does communicate with us.

In my other articles, I have touched on the different parts of dreaming. Just in case, I’ll explain it again, there is the beginning, which can give you the time, place and people involved. There is the presentation, which is basically the appearance of the dreams problem coming to light. Then, there is the climax. This is where the transformation has taken place and the situation or catastrophe is unveiled. And, finally, there is the conclusion or the closing phase of the dream. Are you starting to understand what I’m talking about?

I do have some customers who do believe in power of dreams and the interpretation of them. For some, they wake up and jot it down. For others, in order for them to get the full benefit, they find it helpful to keep a dream journal. Either way, it all works out. However, the longer we wait to write down our dreams, the more apt we are to omit details or just forget about them altogether. Even if you just write down a few key details, it helps to trigger the memory at a later time when you are writing or typing them out to have interpreted. I keep a journal for dreams so I can refer back to it and if I don’t understand the lesson, I will at a later time when I am presented with the situation. This way, I am able to keep using the lesson and knowledge throughout my lifetime. Another way to look at the dream journal is that by keeping one, we are sending a message to God that we hear Him and that we take what He says seriously. Many people actively ask God to speak to them through dreams. For those of you who do not believe in the power of dreams, then the information may not generally be volunteered to you. It may or it may not - it all depends on you and your open mindedness to it. It’s there for the taking, but if you do not heed it, then it may disappear until you ask for it.

The details of a dream are important, no matter how minute and small you think it is because it would not be put in the dream if it wasn’t significant in one form or another. If we don’t pay attention to these small details, we’ll miss the valuable information and messages to be received. Dreams are like a puzzle and the pieces need to be put together in order to solve the mind mystery and understand and unlock the message that is meant for us. Dreams don't always mean what you think they do. Dream meanings are not the same as waking meanings. For example, if you die in a dream, it is not foretelling that you or someone will depart this earthly realm. Or if your teeth are falling out, it doesn't signify that you have a periodontal problem. The same holds true for dreaming that you are at an AA or NA meeting-it doesn't mean that you will suffer the effects of being addicted to drugs or alcohol. I have studied dream interpretation for over a decade and have much professional experience with the subject and giving guidance. I can’t stress the point enough that you should be careful and not assume that you know the interpretation of the dream through your own personal and natural way of thinking. By trying to do that, you run a risk of having a marred and unclear version of what God wants to speak to you about, especially if you end up taking the details of your dream literally, and using your natural and personal way of thinking to figure it out. Instead, you must consider trying to understand their symbolic nature. Because dreams are usually symbolic, what they look like on the surface is often not at all really what they are about or what the point trying to get across is.

Drawing the interpretation of our dreams solely from dream books is another mistake to be avoided. Dream books can be useful and do have an advantage, however, your dreams are highly personal, and meanings of details and purpose in them are often tailored fit to you specifically. Dream books list what certain items have meant commonly to many people, or may fall in a category but it does not necessarily follow that an object must mean this or that or even what the dream book says it represents.

Pondering the subject of Angels

Do you know that the word ‘angel’ means messenger? Did you know that the Bible touches on and speaks of God communicating with man through His angels? Whether you read the Bible, have read the Bible, are Catholic or are even religious at all, we all have angels around us. For those of you who feel alone and lonely, like you carry the weight and worries of the world on your shoulders and that no one understands, you really aren’t alone and your angels understands. When you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, your angel knows. Think about it, angels carry a huge and heavy burden on them. They are around, yet so many people do not think about them. They are ignored. But still, our angels have a duty and are given assignments to watch over, and even if they are not appreciated, they still carry on and make sure the assignment is completed.

Let’s explore a tad bit more on this. For example, the new testament tells us of an angel that speaks to Zacariah of the birth of John the Baptist. An angel also announces news to Mary. Now, if you ponder this miraculous happening, how do you feel? Would you believe it if this were to happen to you? Look at her situation and how it affects Joseph-not to mention her (Mary’s) family, Joseph’s family and the towns people. Talk about a burden?! Havoc was created and cycles of emotion and feelings came to the surface. And you think your life is crazy?

Okay, let me get back on the subject of angels again. (Sorry, I get carried away with thinking at times). Stories are told of the shepherds encountering and beholding a host of angels that were singing the news on the first ‘Christmas.’ And on top of that, an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream to tell him to take the Child and His mother away from the upcoming danger. Am I making you think yet? About angels, I mean. Now, four angels are specifically named in the Bible. They are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel. The names of angels that end with ‘el’ are usually represented by being male. However, Gabriel can also be represented as female. Also in Hebrew tradition, there are angels. There is Chamuel (the Seer of God), Jophiel (the Beauty of God), and Zadkiel (the Justice of God). Now, the greatest of these angels is Michael (whose name means who is like God). He is visualized and pictured with golden wings, carries armor, holds the sword of divine wrath in his right hand and the scales of divine justice in his left. Catholics believe that at the end of the world, it is he who will weigh the souls, as it will also be Michael who, at the moment of death, receives the soul of the departed and ferries it across the stream to the portal of Peter, beyond which is the heaven that is the eternal presence of God. Now another thought that may come to mind about a representation or picture of Michael is that Michael is the one who crushes an enemy or ‘fiend’ underfoot and rebukes with his sword. The scene we usually always see in reference to this is from the ‘war in heaven’ when the archangel led the hierarchies against the rebel angels which are led by Lucifer. The rebel angels were thrust down by Michael and Michael's legions into the hell that is the eternal absence of God. But accordingly, the battle continues and will continue until the end of the world or, at least, some believe this to be so.

Now, I may be incorrect with some of my information, so if I am, you may certainly correct me. I am going by memory and some days are better than others in regards to my memory. I may be sharp and on target and other days, out in left field some where. So, just bear with me and hopefully I’ll, at least, get the point across. Let’s see. Angels......I’m thinking an angel warned of the destruction of Sodom. I just watched this on this history channel not all that long ago but I’m not remembering all that clear right now. Didn’t an angel give Jacob a new name? And I believe that Abraham was told by angels that his wife was to have a son.

There are many pictures and stories about angels. One story that comes to my mind is when God decided to create man -Adam - God ended up sending Michael to collect some dirt from the four corners of the Earth. The dirt represented different colors. There was white, red, black, and green. I’m not sure on the reasoning but I think it has something to do with mother earth receiving him and being one with the earthly plane or realm. The stories surrounding Adam are many. One story I do remember is about how the angels envied Adam because he was created in beauty or was rather beautiful. God had to make peace between Adam (who I think may have been oblivious to this envy) and the angels, otherwise all sorts of trouble could have occurred if the angels remained envious of God’s new creation.

Pluto and Venus retrograde? What does that mean?

Greetings everyone. In astrology, planets go retrograde which means that it appears that the planet or planets are moving backwards in their orbit. Venus is still in regrograde until the 17 of April but Pluto just started.
