In the hospital, the relatives were gathered in the waiting room while
a family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.
'I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news,' he said, as he surveyed the
worried faces. 'The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a
brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, and very risky, but
it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will
have to pay for the BRAIN.'
The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a time,
someone asked, 'How much will a brain cost?'The doctor responded,
'$5,000 for a male brain; $200 for a female brain.'
The moment turned awkward. Some of the men actually had to'try' to not
smile, avoiding eye contact with the women. One man, unable to control his curiosity, finally blurted out the question that everyone wanted to ask, 'Why does a male brain cost
so much more than a female brain?'
The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire
group, 'It's just standard pricing procedure.... We have to price the
female brains a lot lower because they've been used.'

The brilliance of composting.
Nowadays, so many people are turning to ‘going green.’ For those gardeners out there, we may have been going ‘green’ before it was even considered. I, myself, bought a composter about five years ago. It’s this big plastic wheel container that I use to turn scraps into ‘black gold.’ Boy does it work. I absolutely love it. I just give it a spin and let everything break down inside it.
I took some dirt and threw it in the composter. I grabbed some worms and threw them in there along with all my scraps. Scraps - carrot and potato peels, orange and apple peels, avocado skins, wilted lettuce and cores, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage cores, egg shells, grass clippings and leaves from the fall season, basically anything except meat, fish, oils, harsh cleansers. Only use kitchen scraps. If you want to fertilize, you can do that too depending on your composter size. I have a rabbit and throw her poo in there too. I would not recommend cat or dog poo. The composter breaks down the nutrients, the worms help, and in return, you get this wonderful nutrient enriched soil that does wonders for the garden. My plants, veggies and flowers are beautiful, have big full blooms and are healthy. Plus, it saves money, cuts down on trash and you don’t have to worry about pesticides or tampering of food that you grow. You can recycle house plant dirt, you can sprinkle the dirt on your houseplants to give them nutrients when you water. It’s great. Keep an eye out on how dry it gets. I do add water to it so the worms stay comfortable and don’t dry up. They play an important role in all this. Have fun going green with compost! Blessings!

The planets are playing games again...retrogrades!
Here is some important stuff to help you understand what is going on. It was written by my buddy, SisterScorpio. (Subject: Pluto, Saturn, and Mercury, OH MY!!!) I believe she has this on her blog also. She does an excellent job at explaining what is going on. Blessings to all!
It is very rare to have a period of time where we only have 1 planet in retrograde, most of the time we have at least 2. With that being said we should all make time to look to the stars and use their pattern to help us learn from our experiences. This month we have one going in and one coming out.
Right now, with Pluto, and Saturn already in retrograde, now we get Mercury joining the party…(rolling eyes) “joy”… At least Saturn will be coming out right?
What happens spiritually when a planet goes retrograde?
When any planet is in Retrograde we need to face up to the lesson being delivered to us from the universe, the nature of which depends on the house your natal planet resides in.
Pluto rules over the 8th house. The eighth house rules personal evolution, growth, transformation and change, death, rebirth, sex, possessions of a relationship, legacies, inheritance, taxes, rituals, initiations and the occult, the astral body and reincarnation, and the severing of ties to that to which we are attached. When Pluto is in retrograde, we should use this time to assess what reoccurring patterns in our lives make us feel out of control, where and why do we continually give our selves away to the control and power of others. Under what circumstances do we react so defensively that we elicit attacks from others?
Saturn rules over the 9th house. The ninth house rules intuition, religion, inner soul, life lessons, karma, pushing self-limiting beliefs and behaviors aside and constructively making plans to complete any outstanding projects is the message. When Saturn is in Retrograde, we tend to question faith, become vindictive, put off plans, stop in the middle of a project, stop learning.
Mercury, ah yes… the most famous of all astrological blunders. In general, Mercury rules thinking and perception, processing and disseminating information and all means of communication, commerce, education and transportation. Mercury rules people who work in these areas, especially those who work with their minds or their wits: writers and orators, commentators and critics, gossips and spin doctors, teachers, travelers, tricksters and thieves.
When Mercury is in Retrograde, all hell breaks loose in regards to personal misunderstandings; flawed, disrupted, or delayed communications, negotiations and trade; glitches and breakdowns with phones, computers, cars, buses, and trains. And all of these problems usually arise because someone left a small yet crucial piece of information, or component out which causes everything to go astray or awry.
By the time that Saturn goes direct on the 17th, we need to work on any unfinished projects and finish them. Things will start to make more sense in life, as to why things are, and why things were. Thank the Gods that the retrograde of Pluto, Saturn and Mercury will only be overlapping for about 10 days. In the mean time, hang in for the bumpy ride ahead and be as articulate of your communications as well as putting your ego on the shelf. You will be fine.

Be careful out there. Thieves are getting smarter.
As I locked my car and as I was walking away, I heard my car door unlock. I went back and locked my car again - three times. I looked around and there were two guys sitting in a car in the fire lane next to the store. When I looked straight at them they did not unlock my car again.
While traveling, my son stopped at a roadside park. He came out to his car less than 4-5 minutes later. He found someone had gotten into his car and stole his cell phone, laptop computer and some other stuff.
He called the police. Since there were no signs of his car being broken into, the police told him that there is a device that robbers are using now to clone your security code when you lock your doors on your car using your remote locking device. They sit a distance away and watch for their next victim. They know you are going inside of the store, restaurant, or bathroom and they have a few minutes to steal and run.
How to lock your car safely - The police officer said to manually lock your car door-by hitting the lock button inside the car, that way if there is someone sitting in a parking lot watching for their next victim, it will not be you. When you hit the lock button on the inside of your car upon exiting, it does not send the security code, but if you walk away & use the remote on your key chain, it sends the code through the airwaves where it can be stolen. Something totally new to us....and real...
Be aware of this and please pass this note on. Look how many times we all lock our doors with our remote just to be sure we remembered to lock them & bingo someone has our code. Whatever was in the car can now be stolen.
